Different Types of Lingerie
Different styles and types of lingerie is available for every woman whether at department stores or online. This has been used by women and it gives them a boost to their self confidence and appeal. Lingerie has various functions. There are some that are made for seduction, some for sleeping and others for relaxing. In general, there are four types of lingerie that are commonly used by women. They are the chemise, camisole, negligee and Frech knicker.
Chemise
Chemise is a very simple piece of lingerie and it was once known as the shift. This is a short gown which is worn inside a clothing. Chemise falls just above the knees. It is designed to fit a woman's body without being too tight. It has the effect of making the woman feel very refined and elegant. Sometimes, chemise is worn under an evening gown which gives the body a smooth silhoutte without wrinkles.
Camisole
Almost every woman owns a camisole or two. It is quite similar with chemise but it is only until the waist. Camisole is originally designed to function as an inner garment but through time and through people's creativity, camisole became a very versatile clothing.
Negligee
Though negligee is used for sleeping purposes, it is not a night gown. Their difference actually lies on the kind of fabric used. Night gowns are usually made of cotton or wool while negligees are made of silk of natural bamboo fabric. Negligee is a very comfortable piece of sleep wear.
French Knicker
This is a style of panties. This starts at the woman's hip and ends on the thigh but it is free at the thigh end. It is a very comfortable which is usually made from a sheer fabric.
